
Diagnostic Hysteroscopy
Diagnostic hysteroscopy is the gold standard for direct visual examination of the uterine cavity to detect causes of infertility or abnormal bleeding.
What is Diagnostic Hysteroscopy?
Diagnostic hysteroscopy is the most advanced form of visualization of the uterine cavity. Using a special instrument – a hysteroscope with a microscopic camera – we can literally see the interior of the organ in real-time.
Indications
It is the gold standard for finding and addressing causes of infertility, and in the following cases:
- Unexplained infertility after repeated IVF attempts.
- Abnormal bleeding outside the cycle.
- Postmenopausal bleeding.
- Suspicion of uterine anomalies seen on ultrasound.
